In 2024 Wabash Weavers Guild (WWG) will set aside money for an Educational Grants Fund (EGF). The goal of these grants is to encourage members to hone their weaving skills or learn a new technique.
Seed money of $200.00 will be available for the EGF each year from January to December, at which time the fund will be restored (after review of the program) to $200 for the following year. No unused money will roll over to the next year. The fund money will follow the fiscal year, Jan.–Dec., except for 2024 when $200.00 will be available from July-Dec. The fund will be capped at $200 each year.
The fund will reimburse a WWG member one-half the cost of a weaving class, in person or online, up to a maximum of $50/person/year.
To receive a grant, a member is to submit a written request and proof of purchase to the Grant Committee. In return, this person is asked to share/show what they learned to the WWG members during a monthly meeting. This could include a handout, a list of references, a demonstration or a show & tell.
